Things to do in Orange County- Drive-In Movie Featuring The Parent Trap

Looking to switch up your regular family movie nights? Try visiting a drive-in movie showing instead! This month Anaheim Town Square will be presenting a special showing of Disney’s The Parent Trap to raise money for the Illumination Foundation. Rated PG, this classic movie is a perfect watch for the whole family. So, the next time you’re thinking about fun things to do in Orange County, consider stopping by Anaheim Town Square for this wonderful event! 

How to attend this Orange County event

To attend this event, it’s best to RSVP ahead of time by purchasing your ticket online. Tickets will be selling for $10 per car and can be purchased here. To redeem your ticket, you must arrive at the event between 4:30 and 5:15 PM. After 5:15 PM, reserved tickets will be surrendered to any non-ticket holder that is already at the event. At the gates, you will be asked to present both your ticket and a form of ID that matches the name on the reservation. In order to make the ticket check a speedy and smooth process, it’s recommended that you use the same name that’s on your driver’s license when making your reservation. 

The movie will begin promptly at sunset, however, parking for this event opens at 4:30 PM. Space will be limited and parking is offered on a first come first served basis, so make sure you get there early to secure a good viewing spot! Security will also be on-site to guide your car if you need help finding a parking spot. That being said, if you plan on viewing the movie from your truck, Anaheim Town Square asks that you please be considerate of others and arrive early to secure a spot that doesn’t obstruct the view for other movie watchers. 

Food options

If you don’t feel like bringing your own snacks to the movie, Anaheim Town Square has you covered! This location is surrounded by tons of delicious restaurants, so you’ll have plenty of different dinner and snack options. These restaurants include Applebee’s, Waba Grill, Soup Shop, Panda Wok, and much more! If you plan on ordering food from an Anaheim Town Square location, it’s recommended that you arrive at 4:30, find a parking spot at the drive-in, and then go order your food while waiting for the movie to begin playing.

What makes this event extra special is that it’s one of many things to do in Orange County to help out the community. Anaheim Town Square is proud to announce that 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the wonderful Illumination Foundation. The Illumination Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to help people experiencing homelessness in the Orange County community. This includes providing them with aid and relief, such as housing, healthcare, recuperative care, and more. So, when you come to watch The Parent Trap at this event, not only will you be enjoying a timeless film with loved ones, but you’ll also be making an effort to better the wonderful Orange County community!
