Are You In The Mood For Some Orange County Events?

Do you feel the need to get out of the house and investigate some Orange County events this winter? Let’s look ahead to February, where you’ll have a chance to engage in all kinds of fun activities. We’ll start with an event for people who love outsider art and are fascinated by the creative process.

Art Crawl Experience

The Art Crawl Experience takes place in Anaheim on February 10th. Referred to by some simply as “ACE,” it’s a chance to meet and greet some local artists in the scenic Downtown Anaheim Arts District.

It’s designed as an immersive experience, and there will be art installations that are interactive. You’ll have the chance to stroll amongst permanent art installations, such as the illuminated birdhouse sculptures of Peter Shire, always a favorite for newcomers to the scene. You can also have a front-row seat as artists show you what goes into the craft, as they will be creating new pieces while the event is going on.

The Kid’s Pet Parade

Did you have a beloved pet when you were a kid, or does your family have one now? If so, bring your little ones and furry friends to the Kid’s Pet Parade in Los Rios Park in San Juan Capistrano on Saturday, February 16th. It’s part of the annual Festival de las Golondrinas.

Kids between 5 and 12 can enter their pet into different contests, including Funniest and Most Obedient, Best Team Costume for both owner and pet, Most Unusual, and Cutest. The prize for Cutest Pet, in particular, is highly sought, so expect some stiff competition if you bring an entry.

Los Alamitos “Race on the Base”

In Los Alamitos on the 22nd and 23rd of February, this yearly event for runners and walkers will take place. One of the Orange County events that is much anticipated each year, the Race instills a sense of teamwork and pride in not only the participants but also all of the local sponsors.

The Los Alamitos City Council helps to set up and secure the route every year, with the aid of the Rossmoor Community Services District. Participants will use the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. There will be live music played along the course to support the runners and walkers, and lots of fun activities at the finish line.

One of these is sure to interest you, so look into the details and circle the dates on your calendars. This blog comes to you from the folks at Toyota of Orange. If you want cars for sale in Orange County, stop by and see us today.
