The Brea Tree Lighting ceremony takes place on December 6th, and it is a holiday tradition cherished by the community. Starting at 6:30 pm at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center, there will be all sorts of live music and entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will drop by to put some sparkle in your children’s eyes, and hot cocoa and cookies will be served. Your youngsters can get a picture with Santa for a small fee.

Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Village

Head to downtown Anaheim on the 8th of December from 10 am to 7 pm for what’s sure to be a festive and rowdy atmosphere. The Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting takes center stage, but there’s also a ballet presentation, a ton of different ethnic foods for you to sample, as well as some Christmas crafts for the kids. You can try rock climbing if you’re feeling adventurous, and you can get your picture taken with Santa. There are train rides as well.

Balboa Bay Club Tree Lighting Ceremony

Staying in the tree lighting mood, Balboa Bay Club and Resort have their ceremony coming up soon. A date will be announced shortly, so stop by their website often. The festivities will feature a new musical revue, the “Holiday Hullabaloo,” that’s sure to get your hands clapping. This high-energy event will feature Santa and his friends, and then you can stick around for the lighting of the truly enormous Christmas tree. There will be complimentary beverages and treats. Admission to this event is free provided you bring along one new, unwrapped toy.
