Are You Ready For These Orange County Culinary Events?
Do you not even consider going to Orange County restaurants unless there’s a famous chef in residence? Do words like “endive” and “French truffles” cause gladness in your heart? If so, then these Orange County events this March are just for you. Let’s start with one of the greatest yearly happenings: Restaurant Week!
Restaurant Week in the OC
Yes, it is that time again, folks. Restaurant Week is back in Orange County, and this is the one foodie event that you’ll be kicking yourself if you miss.
From March 3rd through the 9th, multiple venues around the OC are getting in on this celebration of all things gastronomical. This is the 11th year of this craft cocktails and fine foods extravaganza, so head to their website for all the details. There are prix fixe menus priced from $10 to $25, so you can enjoy some truly spectacular food concoctions that are positively budget-friendly. This is the event that’s perfect for date night, family night, girls night out, and more.
Saint Patrick’s Day at Clancy’s
Clancy’s American Grill, located near Angel Stadium in Anaheim, does Saint Paddy’s Day right, and it’s just around the bend on the 17th of the month. Whether you’re Irish or no, put on your best green attire and head there for a sports-themed menu and a laid-back atmosphere.
There will be Irish stew, banger and mash, corned beef and cabbage, and green beer aplenty, in addition to their usual favorites like tangy and sweet habanero wings or the grilled salmon with mustard caper sauce if you’d prefer to get a little fancy with it.
Side Door’s Monthly Cheese Takeover
Do you love cheese? If so, then this is the Orange County event that you must try. It happens every month at Side Door in Corona Del Mar off the East Coast Highway. On March the 20th it’s going to be English Cheeses from Hook’s Cheese in Wisconsin. This well-known purveyor of high-quality cheeses is going to present a full array of their finest offerings, with a five-piece cheese board costing $28.
This is an event that was meant to be shared, so gather your friends together and bring your appetites. Cheesemonger Tracy Nelson will be there to talk about the subtleties that make for great cheese, as well as wine, meat, and cracker pairings that will be a hit at your next party.
