Blast Off with Books is One of the Many Charitable Things to Do in Orange County and Los Angeles
Southern California locals love that there are so many things to do in Orange County and Los Angeles. But sometimes, we want to step back from our own wants and needs and help others! Well, if you’re looking for charitable events, then you’re in luck! The Assistance League of Los Angeles brings you Family Day of Service: Blast Off with Books! This is a community book drive that the organization holds every year to promote literacy and help children in need.
The Assistance League of Los Angeles has been helping homeless, foster, and underserved children for 102 years. Every year, they serve at least 22,000 children in the community. Now, YOU can make a difference by joining this event. There are a plethora of charitable things to do in Orange County and Los Angeles, which means that there is a huge need for volunteers. When you join this free, family-friendly event, you will help bring over 1,500 books to preschool children and foster programs. Volunteers will also be asked to help make some cute bookmarks to encourage the kids to read.
You can register NOW for the event on the Eventbrite page.
If you are an organization, please only register one lead contact.
