Celebrate International Women’s Day in Orange County!

Tuesday, March 8th, will mark International Women’s Day. On this particular day, we remember all the women throughout human history who made significant contributions to all sorts of areas of society, technology, and culture. We also remember the women who fought for civil rights and the ones who still do today. You can celebrate International Women’s Day by attending some of these fun-filled Orange County events.

2022 “Precious Love” Orange County Region Women’s Day│ The City of Angels International Christian Church, Huntington Beach │ Sat, Mar 5th, 10 am to 1 pm

We all know that many women have a hard time finding the right balance between work and home. So if you’re one of those women trying to make it happen, then this spirituality seminar is just what your soul needs! There are several City of Angels International Christian Churches across Southern California, and one of them is, of course, in Orange County! Come and join fellow ladies of faith in how God’s love has impacted women’s lives in the community. Admission is $25.

International Women’s Day Celebration│Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel│ Sun, Mar 6th, 9 am to 5 pm.

Hosted by the Iranian-American foundation, a special edition of the Newport Beach Leadership Conference will honor International Women’s Day. This is a grand opportunity to join an authentically cultural group that empowers women to be the best version of themselves. Have fun, meet new friends, and join a lifelong sisterhood!

Blooming Sisterhood: Towards Liberation! International Women’s Day Celebration — PAWA SCA │Delta by Marriott, Garden Grove│Sat, Mar 12th, 6 pm to 11 pm│

This event will be held by the Palestine American Women’s Association of Southern California. According to their website, “PAWA focuses on projects that support women as productive members of society by promoting self-care, leadership skills, personal and social growth, and confidence. PAWA works to educate women and men about women’s empowerment, sustainability, and emancipation.” They are another culturally rich community that want to change the world for good. Enjoy a Dabke performance and a folkloric song by Samir and Naser Musa. Keynote speaker Hanadi Loubani will also make an appearance.

2022 International Women’s Day │ Stein Mart 13742 Jamboree Rd, Irvine, CA │ Sun, Mar 20th, 11 am to 1 pm
This event is hosted by the Pacifica Institute and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Sophia Pandya, an esteemed religious studies professor at California State University, Long Beach. Admission is $20, and they will donate all money to support higher education for girls living in Afghanistan.

Although International Women’s Day may only come once a year, striving for gender equality is something we should do year-round. No matter how you choose to celebrate, we hope that you take a moment to reflect on all the amazing women who have helped shape our world into what it is today while attending these spectacular Orange County events.
