Celebrate Thanksgiving in Orange County this Year!
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to celebrate with delectable food and good company with your family. However, airline tickets are especially high during this time of year. If you live in the area and cannot make it back to wherever you call home this year, there is no reason to feel left out. Don’t just sit and home and watch everyone else on social media have a good time. You can check out one of these Orange County events taking place on Thanksgiving Day as a fun alternative!
2022 OC Turkey Trot (7:30 AM to Noon)
Feeling like moving your body before indulging in that Thanksgiving feast? It certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea! You have the option of running, casually jogging, or even just taking a walk! There is no wrong way to do things here! You will be rewarded with a pumpkin pie at the end of the event, regardless of how you choose to do your Thanksgiving morning!
Thanksgiving Day at La Palma Park at Calvary Chapel Open Door (Noon)
Come on over for a FREE Thanksgiving meal at La Palma Park in Anaheim! Even if you are not a member of Calvary Chapel, all are welcome to celebrate this glorious all-American holiday!
It’s a Scavenger Hunt! at 270 E 17th St, Costa Mesa (1 PM to 11 PM)
Love a good scavenger hunt? Then you won’t want to miss out on one of the most one-of-a-kind Orange County events taking place on Thanksgiving Day!
2022 Thanksgiving Potluck at the Anaheim Alana Club (2 PM)
Bring your favorite Thanksgiving entree to this potluck! Feel free to bring some of your best friends or aim to meet some new people!
Thanksgiving Dinner at Mimi’s Cafe Yorba Linda (2 – 4 PM)
For $28.99, you can have a full-fledged Thanksgiving dinner over at the beloved Mimi’s Cafe. Availability is first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early! Payments must be made in cash; no credit cards or checks will be accepted! Be sure to add a tip to help continue supporting the restaurant!
Thanksgiving at the Mayor’s Table at Mayor’s Table Pacific Pub & Kitchen (3 PM)
Enjoy a variety of delicious foods, including an appetizer of “Not Your Grandma’s Ambrosia” (local green salad, roasted beets, feta cheese, cape gooseberries) and an entree of roasted heritage turkey breast, confit turkey leg, smoked turkey thigh, and rib cap steak.
It will be served with some add-ons that you won’t be able to resist, including Haricots Verts Bean Casserole, Mayor’s Table Creamless Corn, cranberry relish, persimmon stuffing, black truffle gravy, burnt marshmallow, and sweet potatoes.
Finally, your Thanksgiving feast will be complete with your choice of pumpkin pot de creme, pomegranate gel, or heirloom apple crumble for dessert!
Thanksgiving Dinner at Tanner’s Restaraunt in Huntington Beach (3:30 to 9:00 PM)
