Orange County has long been known for its welcoming stance in regards to the LGBTQ community, and that includes many awesome mixers, parties, meetups, and other events of that nature. This article lists some of our favorites that will be coming up in October.

A Halloween Spooktacular

The LGBT Center in Santa Ana is a neighborhood staple that is welcoming to all comers, and they sure know how to throw a party. On Saturday, October 20th, get ready for the Halloween Spooktacular, where music, dancing, and social opportunities abound. There will be food and drinks galore, a costume party, and many different prizes and giveaways. General admission starts at $50, but if you go to their website, you can find out how to get an upgraded ticket that includes access to their full bar. This is sure to be one of the best opportunities to mingle with other community members this season.

San Gabriel Valley Pride

The beautiful San Gabriel Valley is an ideal place to meet up and celebrate being out and proud. Saturday, October 13th, in Pasadena Central Park, there will be entertainment, food trucks, and a beer and spirits garden where the libations will be flowing freely. There will also be music and art, a family area with kid-friendly events, and there will be several authors and entertainers of note. That’s on top of a blessing of the animals, a classic car show, and an interfaith service that is welcome to all. This will be one of the most memorable Orange County events of the fall season, so don’t miss it.

Borrego Days

The last event we wanted to mention is Borrego Days, taking place this year from the 19-21st of October. In Borrego Springs, California, small-town charm meets spirituality for a wild weekend of parades, live music, and even an airshow that will thrill and enthrall. The Festival at Christmas Circle, a part of the event, marks its 53rd year. There will be breathtaking costumes and musical acts including Izon Eden, Miguel Angel Millan, Grupo Elejido, and others. This hidden gem is a California spectacle that is uplifting and special for all who choose to get involved.
