Family Fun Activities In Newport Beach
Newport Beach is the ultimate family play space for everyone. No matter what age you are, this place has something to offer to everyone. From boat surfing to scavenger hunting, from delicious food to scenic view, you are going to love everything about this outlandish place.

Orange County events for a Family Fun, Day 1:
3 pm: You and your loved ones have arrived! Go to the hotel of your choice, unpack, and get ready for a relaxing, fun and scenic Duffy cruise in Newport Harbor.
3:30 pm: Rent an electric boat that is easy to drive and prepare to take a boat trip to the harbor. For extra family fun, treasure hunt near Newport Harbor. Children will love it, and adults will appreciate the beautiful scenery, yachts, and homes along the waterfront.
5 pm: Boating can increase your appetite. If you don’t bring snacks, Newport Beach will satisfy you! Simply Dock & Dine: Park your boat at one of our many family-friendly restaurants, such as Harbourside, Bluewater Grill, Woody’s Wharf or Beach Billy, then dine at the hotel or restaurant!
7 pm: After dinner, head to Fashion Island and return to the hotel. The outdoor mall of Mecca has over 125 stores – boutiques, department stores, and designer outposts.
Children will like to run around the fountain and park area, and also, cinemas and restaurants for everyone to enjoy.
Orange County Events and plans for Day 2:
8 am: Go to Balboa Island where you can have breakfast at Wilma’s Patio restaurant, run by the Balboa Island family. Both children and adults love their homemade pancakes, waffles, French toast, and a variety of imaginable egg dishes.
9:30 am: Take the Balboa Island ferry to the fun area. Children will be crazy about the Ferris wheel and arcade games. Also, be sure to check out the Ocean Quest from Discovery Cube.
Enjoy collectibles and fascinating exhibits, as well as related educational programs that connect children and adults to the adventures, inspirations, and mysteries of the ocean!
11 am Beach time! Pack your beach bag and pick amongst the beaches of the Balboa Peninsula. The boardwalk is dotted with miles of coastline, shops, restaurants, and beaches. You can extend your vacations and enjoy some Orange County events by the beach.
Make the most of your beach day, take a Segway tour, or rent a four-seater bike.
1:00 pm: Enjoy lunch in the 1950s-style restaurant Ruby’s on Bal’s Pier. Everyone will like to walk at the end of the pier and enjoy the cheeseburger and ruby-famous milkshake.
3 pm: Bring your family to one of the many surfing or stand-up paddleboards companies to take part in these fun water sports introductory courses.
For beginners, head to the beautiful Newport Aquatic Center or the Pirates Paddle Company in the beautifully-landscaped Back Bay to learn how to stand paddle or kayak in the calm waters.
Be mesmerized in the golden sunset: After all the activities, your family is ready to relax and enjoy the perfect Newport Beach sunset. Some of the popular vantage points are Lookout Point in Corona del Mar, and Castaways Park in Back Bay or anywhere on the many miles of beaches.
Then, end your night at the “Beach Movie” at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina. The movie begins to play at sundown and is projected onto a vast, large screen. You can buy snacks and drinks at the nearby kiosks to complete the outdoor movie experience. The parking fee is $10, and we recommend carrying a jacket, blanket, and chair.
Family Fun, Day 3:
9 am: Go to Crystal Bay State Beach and have breakfast on the beach!
Park at the Los Trancos car park on the Pacific Coast Highway, take the Beachcomber Cafe shuttle or walk along the Pacific Coast Highway to the Crystal Cove Historic District. Situated on the beach, Beachcomber Cafe offers delicious food and spectacular views.
11 am: Take a stroll along the beach and see the spectacular Crystal Bay tide pool, full of life. Some cottages have been converted into stores, some of which are used in the Crystal Cove Alliance, which is committed to protecting the area.
1:00 pm: By now, you have satisfied your appetite, climbed the stairs to Ruby’s Shake Shack, overlooking Crystal Bay State Beach for one last time, and have enjoyed the beautiful coastline of Newport Beach while sampling classic burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
Before you end your trip, relax at Corona Del Mar State Beach. Get Cultured at the Orange County Museum of Art or try surfing at the Huntington Beach Pier. It’s worth it!
