Here Are Things To Do In Orange County, Sports Fans

If you love sports, or you’re entertaining someone who does, then February is going to be a fun month for you. There are always a lot of things to do in Orange County, but the spotlight for this blog is going to be on the OC sports scene, as there will be several venues hosting athletic contests that will surely get your blood racing. Let’s start with soccer, shall we?

Vissel Kobe vs. Toronto FC

Soccer fans, rejoice! Vissel Kobe takes on Toronto FC at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine on the evening of Saturday, February 2nd. Ticketmaster will be your hook-up for tickets, which are selling fast.

Soccer might not quite have the same manic following in the states that it does overseas, but there are still plenty of rowdy fans, and if you’ve never been to a live match, it’s a sight to behold. Every sports fan has to experience it at least once, and there’s no better venue than the carefully-manicured pitch at Orange County Great Park.

The Rams beat the Saints controversially in the NFC title game. Meanwhile, the GOAT, Tom Brady, led the Pats to their third straight Superbowl appearance as they downed the Chiefs and upstart Pat Mahomes in overtime in Kansas City. Now the time has come for an epic showdown, and you can catch all the action at Time NIghtclub in Costa Mesa.

On Sunday, February 3rd, the most massive LED screen in the OC will be showing the game, and there will also be bottle service, corn hole, beer pong, a raffle, and all kinds of other craziness. This is unquestionably the spot to watch the game, so gather up your friends and see if Brady can score a sixth ring, or if the young phenom head coach Sean McVay can deny the Pats for the second year in a row.  

2019 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships

On Friday, February 5th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, some of the most skilled figure skaters battle it out for the right to call themselves ISU Four Continents Figure Skating champions. These highly trained athletes will be showing off their routines and looking to take home the gold against international competition. Many of the skaters you see here have Olympic aspirations, so remember some of these names and faces.

UCI Men’s Basketball vs. Cal State Fullerton

If the round ball is more your thing, you can watch UCI take on Cal State Fullerton and Darrian Traylor at the Bren Events Center in Irvine. If you’re a Cal State alum, then you’ll undoubtedly want to cheer on your Anteaters, but even if you’re a purist who loves the game but didn’t go to either school, you’ll be sure to enjoy yourself. The Bren Center is one of the finest college athletic facilities in Orange County, and the crowd’s enthusiasm there is always infectious.
