First day in Newport Beach:
3 pm: You have arrived at the beach! Check into the hotel, unpack your bags, and put on your clothes and go outside for a relaxing walk.
4 pm: Head to the quaint and romantic Balboa Island for a relaxing shopping and stroll.
This charming residential island is reminiscent of Nantucket, a delightful residential island with the main street, charming shops and restaurants, and a spectacular boardwalk surrounded by “small” With a “big” island, and you can enjoy stunning views of the harbor and the strait.
When you are there, enjoy the traditional things to do in Orange County and order the Balboa Bar at Dad or Sugar n’Spice. This creamy ice cream snack is a decadent ingredient to choose from.
6 pm: Newport Beach has a lot of dinner options, if you are still on Balboa Island, choose an alfresco cafe or restaurant on the island. For Italians, head to Ciao Italian Restaurant or Mr. G’s Bistro or if you want to enjoy French cuisine at Basilic.
Sunset at Orange County: End your day on a romantic gondola tour through the Newport Harbor Canal Network as the sunsets. You should participate in the tradition of Gondola kissing under each bridge, let the boatman serenade!
Day 2 at Newport beach:
9 am Breakfast at the local casual restaurant Haute Cakes Caffe. Enjoy al fresco dining on the garden terrace and enjoy latte and eggs combo. Then, stand up paddle or kayaking in the morning at the Newport Aquatic Center in Houwan.
11:00 am: Relax time! Take part in things to do in Orange County that will make you relax. Maybe it’s lunch by your hotel pool, or a spa treatment – or both! Perhaps it’s hiking or walking to El Moro, Crystal Cove State Park or Back Bay.
3:30 pm: Take a stroll along the beach to Crystal Cove State Beach for an afternoon, then head to the Bootlegger Bar at the Beachcomber Café to participate in the mid-century happy hour tradition of the Martini flag – with a horn call to pay tribute to the sunset. Cheers!
7 pm: If you stay here at the Beachcomber Cafe, they offer a great dinner option. Otherwise, you are less than five minutes from Crystal Bay Mall, where you can choose from Javier’s Cantina&Grill or Mastro’s Steakhouse.
Just a short drive from the coast of Newport, you will take you to Andria, in the heart of Lushan, where you can enjoy world-class Italian cuisine and some classic food items.
Day 3 at Newport beach:
11 am: Before going home, take an electric boat tour of Newport Harbor and stop by boat! Many of our local restaurants offer a delicious Sunday brunch on the water, such as Cannery, Sol Cocina, or Back Bay Bistro. Are you short of time? Have lunch at Pizzeria Mozza or A Market and enjoy a trip home.
