If You Want Things To Do In Orange County, These Cultural Events Should Be Just The Ticket

In Orange County, some people want things to do that appeal to their artistic sensibilities, and if you count yourself in that category, we’ve got you covered. Whether it is music, film, or walking tours of beautiful historic locations, all of that is on offer in the OC this January.

Jazz Night at Envy Lounge

Jazz has been described as America’s purest art form, and at Envy Lounge every Tuesday in Newport Beach, you can stop by and check out some local practitioners along with all the other cool cats. There are different artists every week, and there is no cover charge, so you can get your jazz fix without breaking the bank. Look at the calendar on the website to see who’s playing, and you can also book a cabana for a Jazz Night party that seats up to 15 people if you like.

Casa Cinema Presents: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Maybe classic movies are more your thing. What could be better to do in Orange County than check out one of the most beloved Westerns of all time? You’ll have your chance at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens in San Clemente on the evening of January 22nd. There is a screening of the 1969 American classic directed by George Hill and written by William Goldman. If you’ve never seen it before, you’re in for a treat. Wild rides, quick-draw specialists, and snappy patter abound, as lovable outlaw Butch teams up with the Sundance Kid, his younger partner who is as fast with his mouth as he is with his pistol.

San Juan Capistrano Walking Tour

San Juan Capistrano is thought of as one of the most beautiful places in the state of California, and now is your chance to find out why. There are always lots of things to do in Orange County, but you need to take this tour at least once, regardless of whether you are a resident or a visitor. The tours take place every Sunday, and they visit two adobe constructs built in the 1790s. The Victorian Pryor House is also on the tour, where you can hear about Chola Martina the Bruja, Juan Flores the bandit, and Buchard, the pirate. You can meet your guide at the railroad depot platform on Verdugo Street.

That’s going to be all for this January edition of things to do in Orange County. Toyota of Orange bids you a Happy New Year, and remember, for Orange County used cars, it’s got to be Toyota of Orange.
