Nice Bits! Comedy Competition at the Rec Room by Off The Wall in Huntington Beach from Thu, Jan 5, 9:30 PM – Fri, Jan 6, 12:00 AM
Following the weekly comedy competition, there is an open mic in the lottery format called Nice Bits at Nite. Everyone can go up, and admission is entirely free.
Every participant who puts their name in the bucket for an open mic at The Rec Room is allowed to perform. Sets typically last for five minutes. Additionally, neither a reserved ticket nor a copy of it is required to enter the open mic. These ticket links primarily serve to publicize our open mic nights.
Pacific Symphony Plays Respighi & Beethoven with Shunta Morimoto – Sunday, January 22, 2023, 3 PM – 6 PM
Shunta Morimoto was born in Kyoto, Japan, in 2004. He demonstrated his extraordinary piano skills at a very young age. He received the coveted Fukuda Scholarship Award, one of the most significant awards for a Japanese musician today, at the age of twelve, in addition to the First Prize from the Piano Teachers Association of Japan. He was able to learn with some of the top pianists and teachers in the world because to this scholarship. In May 2019, he competed in the Van Cliburn Junior Competition in Dallas, Texas, to a great deal of public acclaim. His astounding performances went viral online, establishing him as a hugely popular figure among musicians, fans, and critics worldwide.
