10th Annual Taste of Italy
It’s a rare person that doesn’t like Italian food, and this Saturday, October 13th, the 10th Annual Taste of Italy event hits downtown Los Angeles. There will be live entertainment, many wines to be sampled, and the region’s finest Italian restaurants will be serving up their best-loved favorites as well as some new delicacies prepared specially for this gathering. This is a 21 and over activity, so leave the kids with the babysitter. Among the eateries participating will be 786 Degrees, L’Opera Ristorante, Prova, Prima Italia, Valentino, Ciabatta Bar, and many more. This is sure to be a sophisticated evening for cross-cultural audiences who admire all things Italian.
TAPS Fish House and Brewery Event
TAPS Fish House and Brewery in Irvine is celebrating its third anniversary all month long. On the 12th, 19th, and 26th of this month, you can get a signature burger for $2.15 with the purchase of any beverage, in honor of 2015, when the establishment opened. The Brewery recently added a sister restaurant in Tustin, and both locations have quickly become local favorites for the high quality of their menu items. The crab cakes, fish and chips, and sea bass are all winners, as are their full bars with over a dozen domestic and imported beers on tap.
A Taste of Old Town Monrovia
Skipping ahead to the evening of October 21st, you can head to Monrovia, where local restaurants and merchants are taking to the streets for a showcase of culinary arts and fine beverages. In addition to live music from several performers, there will be a photo booth and tasting menus to be enjoyed under the stars. If you have never visited Monrovia, you’re sure to find it quaint and charming. Fall in love with all that they have to offer, and you will surely come back long before next year’s event. Tickets are $55 in advance and $75 at the door, so take advantage and buy beforehand. This is a 21 and over event.
You should have plenty of food and drink to keep you sated this October, Orange County residents. Perhaps you’ll need to hit the gym a couple of extra times to burn off the calories, but don’t worry. It’s going to be well worth it.
