One of the Best Orange County Events: The Tustin Tiller Festival
There are many Orange County events that can capture its culture from yesteryear and have a long-lasting contrast since 1957. Tustin Tiller festival is the perfect event for you if you’re looking to have a great time through some rides, food, and parades to make the experience complete. Throw in the fact that there’s no admission fee, and you’re definitely going to have a great time with your family.
Contests
On top of what you would usually find at a festival, you’ll find contests that you and your loved ones can take part of, plus, you’ll have the chance to win some incredible prizes! If you think you have the gut and gullet to eat quickly, then try the ice cream eating contest.
Or are you more in tune with the man’s best friend and happen to have a dachshund? Why not see if your pet can win the race against others of its breed? There are even some fun contests for your kids to be a part of if they join the Tiny Tiller contest!
Parade
The Tustin Tiller most definitely isn’t complete without the inclusion of its parade. Taking place on Saturday, October 2nd, you’ll find many different participants ranging from grand marshals, floats, Tractors, horses, bands, and other civic groups seeking to participate in the festivities. It would be a great shame not to witness the giving of awards to the participants in this significant event in person, especially after being in quarantine for so long.
Pancakes
One major aspect of this festival that lures the interest of many is the breakfast offered on the same day and around the same time as the festival’s main parade. Make sure to arrive between 7 and 9:30 am to taste the delicious breakfast treats! They’ll even come with orange juice, coffee, eggs, and sausage if you want.
Backyard Brewfest
If you aren’t in the mood for pancakes and you’re over the age of 21, you can go to the backyard Brewfest. If you purchase a wristband at the event, you could access a plethora of drinks that will be served at the festival. You’ll be given a 5. oz mug so that you have your cup to drink. So if you feel like relaxing and having some finely made drinks, then make sure you are extra thirsty when you come!
Conclusion
Tustin Tiller Festival is undoubtedly returning with a vengeance after being put on the back burner for a while due to Covid. As things stand right now, however, you’ll have full access to some of the amenities, food, and activities mentioned above, making an excellent time for you and everyone else guaranteed at Orange County events such as this.
