Orange County Becomes More Fun Filled During The Halloween Season With Its Special Halloween Events

If your neighborhood is not a fun place for trick and treating, here is your list of fun places in Los Angeles for you and your family to celebrate Halloween.

There are many exciting places around LA and OC for Halloween to visit with your children throughout the month.

Trick or treat in Los Angeles

Head to the Los Angeles Zoo to celebrate Halloween and enjoy the annual Boo at the Zoo. 

Enjoy games, photography, and some opportunities to get close to many different animals, and more.

Also, children are invited to quail eggs on October 19th and 20th, and October 26th and 27th. 

Los Angeles Public Library System

On October 31 (Thursday), many public libraries host special Halloween themed festivals. Activities may include storytime, handicrafts, and movies, etc.

The Orange County events at the Mar Vista branch invites children to participate in a “slight horror story” for half an hour (4:00 to 4:30 pm). Enjoy the songs and the dance at night, monsters, and some weird stories. The children will finally get a Halloween gift, sounds like a real treat right?

Children can stroll around Mr. Bones.

Since its inception in 1987, the visit to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch has become a tradition for many families.

In addition to new pumpkin patches and many interactive activities, on Friday, October 25, children are invited to enjoy Mr. Bones Trick or Treat Spooktacular from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Spooktacular Halloween 2019

Enjoy family entertainment, costumes, craftsmanship, and hospitality at the annual Halloween Carnival organized by Santa Monica PAL. 

Mickey Mouse Ghost at Disneyland Halloween Party

Disneyland’s performances on Halloween include strange characters, beautiful decorations, and yes, you can use candy to quail eggs.

Oogie Boogie Bash is a separate ticket sales contest in September and October every year. Many Halloween Orange County events are worth seeing at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.

Halloween Zoo

The Zoo will celebrate Halloween on Saturday, October 26, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Entertainment includes handicrafts, games, treasure hunt games, tricks, or more! Come in your costume. The top 100 children wearing costumes (12 years old and below) will receive a gift.

Treat on the street

Take your child to downtown Brea for tricks from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Merchants displaying pumpkins on the window will participate in this special contest. Enjoy special events, music, and more.

Trick or treat through the city

If you want to have a trick or treat during the day, visit the Pretending City Children’s Museum.

Give your children their costume and then treat them at different sites throughout the museum.

The trick time is 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Special features include giveaways, handicrafts, and “monster tricks” dances (12:00 and 2:00 pm). 

Trick or treat in the east

Invite preschool and elementary school children to participate in the daytime trick game, the village of Glendora. 

Tips, flicks and (free) home pixels

Let the children wear their clothes and then head to Colorado for a fun trick.

Visit the store, fill the candy bags, and pose a family portrait in a Halloween-themed courtyard. At 7:00 pm, families can enjoy the screening of Tim Burton’s movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Online RSVP.

Halloween tricks

The charming Montrose Shopping Park is inviting children for a smash.

Merchants will distribute candy as they stroll through the shopping district of the Family Decor Festival. This popular annual event at OC is known as “a true family feature full of traditional skills and hospitality and some surprises.”

Halloween at Pasadena Theater District

Celebrate Halloween in the Pasadena Playhouse from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Recreational activities include activities, games, handicrafts, storytelling (in the Vroman bookstore), and of course, a lot of candy!

Trick or treat in South Bay

The Riviera Village is a close part of Catalina Street for quail eggs. Thousands of kids participate to enjoy sweets and snacks from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Leave dinner, but plan and book as early as possible.

Halloween ghost

The Del Amo Fashion Center hosts special nights from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Halloween. Put on your clothes and get ready to play!

Enjoy handicrafts, face paintings, interactive activities, quail tricks and other Orange County events.

Halloween Boo Bash!

Orange County events at the Manhattan Village invites families to participate in Halloween celebrations from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Children will enjoy “ghostly good times” in the shopping center, including quail eggs, handicrafts, dances, and lots of fun.

“Mummy” and my Halloween family entertainment

On the evening of October 17 (Thursday) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the corner will host the “Mummy” and “My Halloween Family Fun.”

Children will enjoy monster party, pumpkin decorations, mummy wrapping and quail eggs around The Point or enjoy the food. This special event is part of The Point’s monthly kids club event.

Trick or treat at RiverPark in Oxnard

RiverPark will host their favorite community event on October 29 (Tuesday) from 5 pm to 7 pm.

All the participants will receive a passport to find hidden treats throughout the mall and encourage wearing costumes! 

Also, the main sponsor, Sunny Smiles Dentistry, will host the annual “Candy purchase” event. Here you can choose to sell some of your candy, which will be sent overseas to the troops.

If you have time, visit Toyota to test drive at the Irvine car dealerships, believe me, you will love it.
