Orange County CA Is The Place For Auto Sales And Halloween Activities
It can be hard figuring out events for your younger family members, but October presents a wide variety of possibilities. One or more of them are likely to sound enticing to your kids and their friends, so arrange a get-together and play chaperone. Here’s what’s on the menu over the next few weeks.
Brick-or-Treat Party Nights
Running through October 27th every day, Carlsbad, CA is the locale, and Legoland is the place to go. Few of us didn’t grow up playing with the colorful stackable blocks, and Legoland is where you can celebrate all things Lego. Every Saturday night in October, guests can make their own monster using the “Monster Machine,” and they’ll be thrilled by the Mail Order Monster stage show. Trick-or-treaters can come in costume and visit the 30 different treat stations around the park. There will be other goodies for the adult guests as well.
Spooky Science
Continuing our monstrous theme, take the kids to Spooky Science at the Discovery Cube OC. Every day till October 31st, The Cube in Santa Ana comes alive, as children can enroll in the Monster Academy, which combines science with spine-tingling scares. They’ll receive lessons from some of the most famous historical monsters, including finding out about potion making in the BeWitchery. If they want to learn about the human body and how it fits together, it’s going to be an anatomy lesson from Skellee the Skeleton. Bolton’s Shock Lab will be open for business, and young web designers will get a crash course from Webster, the tech-savvy Spider.
Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours
But what about the older kids, you ask? If you have a teenager who is interested in the macabre, how about a Haunted Fullerton Walking Tour? The Fullerton Museum hosts walking tours through November the 2nd, but these perambulations won’t be for the faint of heart. These 2-2 ½ hour tours explore some of the creepiest historical facts of the area, and if you’re interested in the eerie and the unexplained, you won’t want to miss it. Advanced reservations are advised, and the subject matter is considered inappropriate for kids under age 13.
From the spooky to the scientific, family members of all ages should have plenty on their plate this October. Enjoy the best of Orange County, and as always, stay safe out there.
