Re-visiting Some of OC’s Finest Wineries

Orange County is known for its beautiful beaches and warm weather, but it is also known for the numerous first-class vintages produced by its vineyards. If you’ve come to Southern California to visit wineries, Orange County has a few you shouldn’t miss as a part of your list of Orange County events for summer 2022.

Giracci Vineyards and Farms

Giracci Vineyards and Farms in Silverado is definitely worth a visit. The setting is breathtaking, with rolling hills, stately trees, and an endless blue sky. Their wine tastings typically start at $20, which is extremely reasonable, and if anything catches your eye, you’ll have the option to purchase it at a reduced price. They have more whites than reds, but that’s not a problem. What could be more heavenly than strolling arm-in-arm with your date and sipping a chilled sauvignon blanc as the sun sets majestically into the west?

This is a family-owned business, so expect a level of service that’s different from your typical franchise or corporate feel. Everyone is very friendly and service is a bit slow, but you get to enjoy the smiley faces and amazing atmosphere that fills this place. It’s a piece of heaven on earth, and a hidden gem in OC.” – Summer S., Laguna Hills

Laguna Canyon Winery

This Laguna Beach has some excellent offerings, but the best reason to visit may be the staff. They’re some of the industry’s friendliest and most knowledgeable winemakers, and they’ll gladly answer any questions you have; nothing makes them happier than talking about their passion.

Such an awesome little place for wine tasting. They give you a card and you basically choose and pour your own tastings by pressing a button!” – Nicole C., Costa Mesa

Orange Coast Winery

The Orange Coast Winery in Newport Beach has three clubs you can choose to join. The tasting rooms are open on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. On a first-come, first-served basis, space is limited to 25 guests. It’s worth noting that they use only the best quality grapes from Temecula and Lodi to create beautifully crisp, refreshing whites and bold, luxurious reds.

Our host, Richard, was great! This was a fun experience and Richard described all the wines in detail.” – Marissa W.

West Coast Winery

Anyone who knows anything about the Southern California wine scene will tell you that the first place you should go is Orange Coast Winery in Newport Beach, and we agree. Every day of the week, they have regular tastings and a variety of vintages, including Primitivo, zinfandels, cabernets, and a rose of Malbec. They are always willing to host your next event, or you can attend one of theirs. Their Premiere Club Parties are not missed, providing opportunities to sample their rarer vintages.
