San Clemente Drive-In Movie Showing MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL
Looking for things to do in Orange County during the month of October? Well, get in your cars and grab some snacks, cause there is a movie to catch at a Drive-In theater!
“Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” will be shown at Vista Hermosa Sports Park by the City of San Clemente. Make sure to register your vehicle for only $15. The venue will be planned with a designated parking spot for each vehicle in advance with 6ft of distance on both sides to meet COVID-19 safety regulations. The audio of the movie will be broadcasted to your car’s radio with an FM transmitter.
This family event is perfect for participating in the Halloween and October season while safely and responsibly lowering the risk of Covid-19. Many events like this and others have created a variety of new things to do in Orange County during this time.
Keep in mind that vehicle pre-registration is required, and due to social distancing guidelines, walk-ups, bikes, and chair/floor sitting outside of your cars is prohibited.
Parking: Parking will be open to the public an hour and a half before the start of the show. All vehicles must be in the venue and parked 15 minutes before the start of the movie. Parking will operate as first come, first served but will be checked in by time slots.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be available with uninterrupted cleaning procedures and monitoring.
CHECK-IN/ENTRY/EXIT:
Please have your driver’s license available at check-in. Vehicles will enter through the main entrance only and will be allowed to start parking an hour and a half before the start of the show. Vehicles must remain parked in their designated location since spots are predetermined to allow for proper social distancing guidelines. If you need to exit before the end of the movie, place your emergency lights on and wave so you can be ushered out.
Important Guidelines for Guest:
- Cancellations must be completed 24 hours in advance.
- The number of people within each vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts.
- No sitting outside of the vehicle on chairs, blankets, or the ground. Children are to remain in the vehicle at all times unless accompanied by an adult to use the restrooms.
- While traveling to the restrooms or are outside of your vehicle, you must wear a face mask/ covering at all times.
- Social distancing guidelines need to be followed and will be enforced.
- Large SUVs, Trucks, and Sprinter Vans will be required to park separately from other cars on the sides of the venue to allow other moviegoers to view the screen.
- If you would like to sit in the bed of a truck or bring your convertible car, you will be placed on either the sides or in the back spaces of the venue.
Not Permitted At The Venue:
- No pets allowed.
- Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are not permitted.
- Electric scooters, bikes, skateboards, etc. Are not permitted.
The San Clemente City Staff have the right to ask anyone to leave if they are not following guidelines or violating health protocols. If you are asked to leave, a refund will not be given.
