These Orange County Events Sound Like A Great Time
Fall in the OC always brings with it some events that are likely to interest even the most ardent couch potatoes. Let’s take a look at what’s on tap for this week as we plunge into September.
FriendZone Open Mic Comedy
What’s better than enjoying a couple of adult beverages while a professional comedian keeps you in stitches? How about you and your friends getting up on stage to give your best five minutes of material? If you think you’re the next Seinfeld or Chris Rock, then head over to At The Top in Long Beach, where hilarity is sure to ensue this September 4th. There will be a plentiful selection of beers, liquor, and snack foods on special, so bring your A-game and see if you’ve got what it takes to bring down the house. This event is 21 and over, with a 2-drink minimum.
Author Days featuring Ashley Mills Monaghan
On September 5th, at Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine, it’s another edition of Author Days, this time with popular kids book author Ashley Mills Monaghan. She will be reading from her new book as well as some of her previous ones and performing a song based on her stories as well. Monaghan will also do a Q-and-A session after the reading and will be signing autographs. Bring your young ones out for what is sure to be a fun excursion.
Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruise
It may be September, but summer is still here for a few more weeks, and if you’re still in the mood for celebratory events then you’re bound to enjoy this next OC staple. The Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruise, offered by Hornblower Cruises and Events, casts off this September 5th in Newport Beach. You’ll get to enjoy a sunset happy hour with relaxing music, appetizers, and bar specials galore. There’s both cozy inside seating and outdoor decks, and you’ll have an excellent view of the local sailboat races too. Only 21 and older for this event.
That’s it for another fun Orange County events week. We’ll be back next time with some more of our recommendations for how to make the day a memorable one. This blog was brought to you by Toyota of Orange, one of the premier used car dealerships in Orange County.
