Want to Learn Another Langauge? Check Out These OC Language Schools!
Orange County is home to a melting pot of people from all different languages and cultures, so why not immerse yourself in them to learn more about others as well as yourself? Or perhaps you are someone in the area who is looking to improve your English? This may be the reason you are motivated to pick up a second or third language. If you’re looking for a place to get lessons for either yourself or your child, check out our recommendations.
Orange County Lingual Institute (Costa Mesa)
This school offers group classes for both kids and adults as well as private lessons and corporate language classes who are looking to communicate with other cultures within the business world. 19 languages are offered at OCLI, including English, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Japanese.
“It has been such a pleasure learning Italian at OCLI. In-person classes pre-pandemic were well-organized, with parking convenient and free thanks to ticket validation, but our class has been meeting virtually since the pandemic began and it has worked very smoothly and enjoyably. Maria, the teacher I’ve had since starting here, is infinitely patient, enthusiastic, and creative in the assignments she gives our class. I’m glad I chose to take classes here and highly recommend the school.” – Maryann P., Laguna Beach
LangoKids (Irvine)
The parent and toddler Spanish and French classes will allow your child to get a headstart in a useful life skill (and their future high school classes!). This will serve as a special bonding time-kind of Orange County event that will not only be engaging for them but for you as well, as you and your little one learn something new together. They will definitely thank you for that special time you gave them when they’re older.
“My kids have been attending Spanish classes at Lango Kids since they were 2 years old. I have always appreciated the support the teachers, staff, and owners have given to our kids and I can say that Covid didn’t stop them from teaching and caring about our kids’ language skills. I appreciated their flexibility to keep our kids learning through these trying times and I am very happy to see how fluent and confident they are feeling in speaking a foreign language.” – Jonathan C., Irvine
American English Language School (Brea)
This is the perfect place for you if you are a non-native English speaker who wants to learn how to communicate in the language better, whether you are scheduled to take a proficiency exam or are just looking to improve in general. AELS has allowed local residents to do just that since 2008. The class sizes are small, with a maximum of 8 students per teacher.
“I’ve been looking for a school to improve my English and found this place thru my friend’s recommendation. The facility’s very neat and clean and the tuition is very reasonable. All of the staff are very friendly and I like their programs on how to learn English very efficiently. I highly recommend this school to learn the American culture and their language.” – James Y., Cerritos
