Another facet that adds to the appeal of Oktoberfest is the celebration of German Reunification, which occurred October 3, 1990, and is celebrated in the same vein as Oktoberfest. With the German national flag being on display, speeches being given, and beer flowing freely, this particular day is an excellent extension and, in a way, an amazing addon to Oktoberfest, bringing the festivities to the next level.
