Then attending the 2022 SDCCU OC Running Festival should be a high priority for you from April 30 to May 1, 2022. There’s no better time to attend, seeing as to how it’s now officially back after suffering numerous issues for the past few years due to Covid. OC Half Marathon

First, let’s go over the OC Half Marathon, which will see you start at Newport Central Drive Loop. This race can be quite an endurance tester but with no significant elevation compared to others. It’s in total 13.1 miles in the distance that you will be running, and depending on how heavy you are statistically, you’re going to be burning around 1300-1800 calories for the entire run. Throughout the race, you’re going to be greeted with the beautiful sites of Corona Del Mar’s seaside village while seeing the majestic boats within Newport Harbor. Appreciating that breathtaking ocean while you’re pumping your legs is an opportunity someone like yourself should take advantage of. Also, you’re going to find plenty of restrooms throughout the trip, often with 1.5-mile intervals, so no need to worry on that front. The event will take place on May 1, 2022. 

5K run

If you’re more of a newbie to these events or don’t have a level of endurance compared to other people, then going on the OC 5k run might be more of your speed. Starting and ending at 88 Fair Drive, at the Fair & Event Center, you won’t just find yourself enjoying the run along with the many others attending. Still, there’s even a row of vendors with food, fascinating items, and even some festive music that everyone can enjoy! While being a part of the race itself, you’ll even be able to see the OCC Campus as well as the Pacific Amphitheater. The event will take place on April 30, 2022.

Kids Run the OC

There’s even a program where your kids can get involved to help promote a healthy lifestyle and instill a discipline to convince them to stay in shape. You see, this program lasts from 10-12 weeks, Where kids will have practices before or after school to build up an accumulation of 25.2 miles of distance run through fun activities that they can fully immerse themselves within! This program is popular in that 19 schools in Orange County are a part of the program, with nearly 10,000 students participating in the activities.

Run For A Claus

On the other hand, if you’re unable to show up this early November race and instead want to take part in the Christmas version of it, get more into the festivities, then come to 3100 Airway Avenues on December 11 should be your priority. You’ll even be able to try out different races that can cater to everyone, such as the 5k run, the 1-mile Kids Run, and of course, the Virtual Race for those who want to make sure they stay safe but want to be a part of the event. This event will take place on December 11, 2021.
